Tom is a musician based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. With an interest in music and recording from an early age, Tom has studied music at GCSE and BTEC level, and Music Technology at A Level and degree level (BSc). Tom has gained instrumental grades with Rock School (Drums) and Guildhall (Electric Guitar). With 17 years experience in music, Tom has performed full time and as a dep musician with a range of bands; Tribute bands, original material, Pop, Jazz, Blues... all the way through to Metal! Since 2003 Tom has given private tuition for both Electric Guitar and Drum Kit, and has had over 100 students in this time.

With a wide range of musical tastes, from Classical to Jazz to Metal, Tom has studied the styles of many guitarists and drummers. Tom cites guitarists such as Wes Montgomery, Django Reindhardt, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Ritchie Blackmore and Vinnie Moore (amongst many others) as influences, and drummers such as Neil Peart, Ian Paice, Mike Portnoy, Paul Bostaph and Greg Bissonette (again, amongst many more). As an enthusistic musician who believes you can never stop learning, Tom practises regularly and experiments with 12 different instruments.

In addition to tuition, Tom runs a music shop in Wakefield, Saturn Music.
